Snake + Herring Cannonball Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

This has been part of the Snake + Herring portfolio since 2011 and has evolved from its original Bordeaux blend into a predominantly Cabernet wine with very small contributions from Malbec and Merlot. The aroma is immediately vibrant and alive with bright red fruit notes and a backdrop of blackcurrant and black olive. The palate has generosity but is more in the medium to full-bodied zone, yet still offers a dense layer of flavours. It's refined and elegantly poised and offers either drinking in the short term, while those primary characters are so evident for longer-term cellaring, when it will evolve into something quite beautiful and pretty. Excellent wine.
