Years ago, an elderly American remarked that Western Australia was similar to California and predicted that the WA coast would follow the same trend forming a continuous line of housing down the coast. Witnessing the growth of once sleepy little crabbing towns, Rockingham and Mandurah south of Perth, it now seems to be a distinct possibility.
