Simpson Estate Jenny Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2017

This vintage generally produced wines of less intensity and weight but with an elegance that makes them excellent medium-term cellaring propositions. The fruit characters are more blackberry and cherry, with oak notes of light cedar and bay leaf. The palate is medium to full-bodied with good structure and control, dry, savoury, and with a slightly oyster shell-like minerality to complete a nicely composed wine.
