The inspiration for this blend of viognier and marsanne is the Rhone Valley. Gherardi has harnessed the natural opulence of these varieties to create a slightly steelier linear style, while losing nothing in palate intensity and persistence. It’s had about 9 months in oak but four of those were on fine lees, bringing that textural element into the palate. Appealing wine of great character.
