Mr Barval Cabernet Malbec 2022

This is largely cabernet with malbec and smaller contributions from merlot and petit verdot. The combination of fruit from Wallcliffe and Wilyabrup has been gently treated with hand plunging and basket pressing. It’s a generous medium to full-bodied wine with plush fruit contributions complemented by fine-grained oak and well-managed chalky tannins. The minerally mouth feel is a feature. Excellent.
