Fraser Gallop has been a champion of this style of wine for some time. So in this case it's been fermented with wild yeasts and then matured in a combination of new and second-fill French oak. So, the oak plays an important part, but it's well-managed so it doesn't intrude beyond creating a complex textural aromatic influence. Nutty, lightly tropical fruits on the nose with a little dab of citrus and then a palate that is quite keen and crisp but with that textural complex interest from the oak. Has a nice racy, zippy finish. Has the structure and fruit components to handle further cellaring, which will see it change into something quite special.
