Credaro 1000 Crowns shiraz 2023

This is from the Wilyabrup property of Credaro. It was a great vintage, and this is such a powerful and concentrated example of Margaret River shiraz, yet it’s poised and defined, even a little refined, with a degree of elegance. Made in a fairly traditional way, it displays deep, earthy, grainy, opulent dark plum and blackberry nuances. There is a degree of extraction, but it’s balanced with an abundance of concentration and power. It will certainly handle ageing. Make sure you decant first.
