Chalari Mataro 2022

Frankland River produces lots of great fruit, and mataro is certainly a variety that does exceptionally well. The natural rustic earthy character are captured in the ironstone soils of the region. Interesting winemaking included whole bunches in old puncheon, and whole berry and open fermentation techniques. Love the vibrant red berry characters on the nose and the palate with the thread of chalky tannins adding to its character and structure.
