Woodlands Margaret 2023

Another outstanding wine from this great vintage. Nearly 75% cabernet, with merlot and malbec. There is power and intensity here, but it’s elegant and so refined. Crunchy red and black fruits, lifted red cherry and bay leaf, with a subtle oyster-shell minerality. It’s a very pretty wine that provides a lens into the greatness of the vintage and the influence of this vineyard, now more than 50 years old.
