Wise Leaf Series Margaret River cabernet franc malbec 2025

An interesting wine that dips its toes into the Left and Right Banks of Bordeaux in terms of varietal sourcing. But it's a combination that works really well. The aromatics of the cab franc provide a lovely lift of floral notes and red berries, with the addition of the juicy, slightly leafy malbec. Palate is soft and supple, with lots of leafy fruit flavours, understated tannins, and a gentle persuasion of oak. Trace of oyster shell minerality adds some definition through the mid palate as it retains a brightness and energy through to the finish.
