A wine of purpose and power from this very early, quite warm vintage. The extra time in the bottle is bringing it together quite beautifully. Masses of dark fruit on the nose with blackcurrant, a swirl of dark chocolate and plum, and that slight bay leaf, black olive nuance that adds an intriguing complexity. The palate is concentrated and intense, with a thread of oyster-shell minerality working with the fine thread of tannins and ample oak to provide the structural base to extend to a long finish.
