Swings & Roundabouts Brash Road Single Vineyard syrah 2023

This vineyard has proved highly successful for shiraz, or syrah, over the years and now, in the hands of Swings & Roundabouts, it is making some mighty fine wine. It has been made in a way that accentuates the medium-weight fruit, releasing vibrant, bright and quite punchy berry characters while retaining structure and poise. The larger-format French oak puncheons have imparted just the right influence to highlight the fruit. Bright red berries, a little spice and soft plummy fleshiness. This is high-class stuff that shows what this northern part of Margaret River can do, particularly in a wonderful, slightly cooler season like 2023.
