Sittella Reserve chardonnay Buckshot Ridge 2025

This one comes from Margaret River, from this vineyard in Wilyabrup. So it has the pedigree. It’s an intense wine from whichever way you look at it. On the nose, there’s a slightly smoky gunflint character overriding the intense lemony-grapefruit characters. And then the palate has tremendous concentration, yet it’s linear and defined, with a degree of tension. Nice mineral savouriness on the finish, which is sustained by that fine, lingering acidity. An all-round well-crafted and expressive wine.
