This wine is sourced from Frankland River and has produced a wine of pristine purity and freshness, with lively palate flavours that make it immediately appealing. On the nose, there’s a fresh sea spray character with a slightly saline-like spice and subtle lemony note. It’s intense, yet retains the delicacy that makes vermentino so appealing. Certainly as an aperitif, but with half a dozen oysters, you’re really onto something. I like drinking this wine as a youngster, but it has everything there to support cellaring, where over the next five years it will become something interesting.
