Robert Oatley Finisterre Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

The 2020 vintage produced some excellent cabernets in what was an early season. This has now evolved rather nicely with time in bottle. It's an immediately complex and compelling opening of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and chocolate on the nose, with a very subtle minerally oyster shell character providing further definition. The palate is elegantly woven with very fine chalky tannins and some neatly layered oak, creating an almost velvety smooth textural feel that carries through with great purpose to a very long finish. A classically presented Margaret River cabernet.
