Pierro VR Vintage Reserve chardonnay 2023

At the time of release a couple of years ago, I thought this was an exceptional wine. Time has not changed my opinion. It captures the intensity yet delicacy that marked the 2023 vintage in Margaret River, producing a wine of remarkable finesse and poise. There is just the faintest hint that it is moving into a subtle new zone, with lovely complex, lightly toasty characters beginning to emerge, but primarily it is the fruit that continues to drive. Such a complete and excellent example of Margaret River chardonnay.
