Perhaps the quintessential example of the sauvignon blanc semillon blend from Margaret River, but of course it is augmented with about 23% chardonnay, hence LTC — light touch of chardonnay. While the sauvignon blanc and semillon certainly provide the lift, aromatics, and flavour intensity, it is the chardonnay that gives the wine its strength of character, structure, and depth. This vintage was well suited, delivering concentration and intensity through the mid-palate, with the structure and fruit quality to handle extended cellaring.
