Nikola Estate The Impressionist 2025

Winemaker Damian Hutton sources the fruit for this wine from Geographe. It’s 100% anies, a variety that Hutton has been able to do something quite magical with since he started using it a few years ago. I think this single-vineyard expression is one of the best I’ve tasted yet. Beautiful, pristine, pure fruit, generous flavours, some light lemon rind and faintly nutty characters. The palate is quite beautifully pristine and pure, with a deep, lingering intensity. This is a cracking good wine that will be on my drinking list over the next few years.
