Marri Wood Park Sparkling Chenin Blanc 2020

This sparkling wine from the increasingly popular chenin blanc variety was made in the traditional way and then had 5 years on tirage just before release, allowing it to develop subtle creamy characters on the palate, especially, but adding a further complexity on the nose.  It has that fine natural acidity and a lovely, lightly tropical fruit character that is balanced with some slightly nutty influences. It is a good alternative to the traditional pinot chardonnay combination.
