You’re immediately struck by the complexity and intensity on the nose. After picking and whole bunch pressing, it was fermented and then matured with indigenous yeasts in a mix of small and large French oak. The nose shows minerally, slightly struck-match characters, with roasted cashew, distinctive lemon, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, that crunchy, vibrant, steely minerality threads deep and long, with slightly chalky acidity combining to focus to a sustained finish. A classy, expressive example of chardonnay from this region.
