John Kosovich petit verdot 2023

Petit verdot likes a little warmth, so the Swan Valley is ideally suited to it. But this slightly cooler year just toned things down a bit and it's produced an absolutely exquisite example of what the Swan Valley can do. Lifted floral perfume notes with red berry and lightly cedary oak and then a palate that is rich and generous, but delivers with medium body through to a very long finish, slightly chalky tannins in support, and the fruit very much dominant, although underpinned by some nice fine-grained oak. Delicious drinking.
