Howard Park ASW Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2022

The region, the combination of varieties and the winemaking combine to make a slightly atypical example of Margaret River red, but oh boy, does it work. Super generous and concentrated cabernet and shiraz fill the palate with a blackcurrant, ripe plum and roasted coffee, mocha chocolate richness. The oak is liberally applied to contribute to a style that demands attention. But above all that is its vibrancy and energy. Excellent wine.
