Howard Park Allingham chardonnay 2025

This is the pinnacle of Howard Park's white wines. It comes off the Allingham block at Karridale and is all Gingin clone. It's a wine of pristine purity, which comes no doubt from the handpicking, whole-bunch pressing and fruit selection before fermentation in wild yeasts in a mix of small and big format French oak. The lees were stirred and malolactic fermentation managed to ensure it retains that pure keen edge. Aromas of white peach and crushed shell with a slightly saline edge, and then a palate that is keenly focused and defined with a vibrant keen acid and some light lemony citrus characters contributing as it pushes to a very long finish. Outstanding wine.
