Forest Hill Small Batch rosé 2025

This distinctive blend of cinsaut, grenache, counoise and vermentino was introduced relatively recently and caught my attention immediately. It was all hand-picked and pressed to concrete, where it was fermented. The result is a wine of fine aromatics, beautiful texture and lovely fruit characters evident immediately. Crunchy light red fruits, some watermelon and cranberry combinations, with a little savouriness. It’s extraordinarily complex for a rosé, with its dry, savoury, persistent finish a feature. Cracking good wine.
