Evans & Tate Single Vineyard malbec 2024

The colour is the first thing you note. It's deep, it's dark, and it's opaque. Then the nose, loaded with ripe red juby fruit, before a wave of plummy, black-fruited flavours and blackberry aromas. The palate is tremendously fruity and rich, with a dark-chocolate, black-fruit mix and then that final lick of oak which comes from the year in French oak puncheons, with just a little new oak flourish on the finish. Really nicely put-together wine.
