Evans & Tate Redbrook Estate shiraz 2023

This is such a good wine from these old vines on the Redbrook Vineyard, planted back in 1975. On the nose, there's some lifted florals, cocoa, dark chocolate, and spicy plum. It's a compelling weave of aromatics. The palate is quite sublime: plush and richly textured with a grainy, slightly gravelly tannin feel, but at the same time, it's seamlessly structured and greatly poised. This is a first-rate example of what can be achieved in Margaret River with shiraz.
