Evans & Tate Redbrook Estate Reserve cabernet sauvignon 2022

Colour is deep, but quite brilliant. The nose is pure essence of cabernet with a mix of blackcurrant, bay leaf, subtle minerally oyster shell, and some deeper plummy black olive nuances. There's an effortless feel to the palate and yet it's powerful and deeply intense. Captures the dark fruits of cabernet, but there's a little lift of red fruit to take it to another level. A fine thread of chalky tannins and the well-managed oak hug the fruit through to a super-long finish. Outstanding wine.
