There is such a compelling clarity and purity about this wine, which Dukes makes with a clear mandate to capture the fruit and present it through to a fine, uncompromised palate. Nice notes of florals and white peach, a little subtle oak, and then a palate that is rich with a slight oatmeal-type flavour, balancing some light cashew and citrus. And then it just finishes with a beautiful, pure, precise minerality, extending to a very long finish. A classically defined chardonnay.
