Deep Woods Estate Single Vineyard Septimus cabernet malbec 2023

Deep Woods acquired this vineyard a few years ago, and it's smack bang in the middle of Wilyabrup in a block that was planted almost at the very start of Margaret River. Loads of dark fruits on the nose—plummy, blackcurrant, and dark chocolate—with a subtle graphite, oyster shell complexity. The palate has an almost effortless languid feel about it, and yet it gathers momentum through the middle and then drives to a long, lingering finish. This is classic Margaret River cabernet with the influence of malbec providing that delightful juicy red fruit.
