The colour gets you immediately. Deep and dark, blacky red all swirling through with lifted crimson hues. The nose is highly perfumed, with a mix of those red fruits, rhubarb, and juby characters, but with tremendous intensity and concentration. The palate is just supreme. Rich, concentrated, yet with the elegance and deft restraint that you get with high-class malbec. A simply stunning example of this variety.
