De Vese Single Vineyard riesling 2024

The fruit for this comes from the excellent Shepherd’s Hut in the Porongurup. Has a distinctive spicy character, which you get from rieslings in this region. All stainless steel with nine months on ferment lees to get texture and less manipulative winemaking in the winery. High acid. Love the textured mouthfeel of this wine. It’s more European in style. The hang time is an important part of the wine, so it adds to the flavour and texture at the same time. Lovely wine with tremendous length. Has a slightly gingery saline character with some chalky phenolic characters.
