Churchview Limited Release Wild Fermented marsanne 2025

This is such a versatile grape that Churchview has been working with for some time now. You can make it lean and mean if you like, but in this case, they've built some structure, texture and richness into the wine to great effect. Whole-bunch pressing into a mix of stainless steel and older puncheons has given it some structural integrity. On the nose, the floral, lemony, meringue-like characters emerge. And then the palate is rich, but it's defined and refined, with a lovely fine acidity. And that splash of varietal lemon lifts it with a final flourish. Nicely crafted wine.
