Cherubino Uovu grenache 2025

This is one of my favourite wines in the Cherubino collection. It’s made in an interesting way that captures so much of Frankland River grenache, composed in a clay-cement ovoid tank, which is in the shape of a giant egg, and then the lees are continuously forced up, creating an internal vortex current. The technique contributes to the wine’s plush generosity. It’s beautifully soft, but it still retains structure, with very fine mineral tannins. But it’s the fruit expression that is so explicit and quite beautiful. Bright, with great energy and vibrancy, it is such a thoroughly beautiful grenache for drinking over the medium term.
