Cherubino Beautiful South Red Wine 2021

After a somewhat slow start as a result of the cool vintage, these ’21s have really started to hit their straps with the extra time in bottle, and here is the perfect example. It’s from that Riversdale Vineyard again. On the nose, you get a mix of blackcurrant, ironstone and a little vanilla pod. The palate has a varietal purity about it, but there is strength and structure here, supporting a most poised and detailed palate. It sits beautifully in the mouth with rich flavours, revealing more dark fruits, dark chocolate and that balancing minerality to complete a very nice wine.
