Cape Grace Basket Pressed cabernet shiraz 2023

What an excellent example of this combination. It's a 50/50 split, and it was made in a traditional way with open fermentation, hand plunging, basket pressing and then maturation in some French oak. It's medium weight, beautifully perfumed and stylishly composed, with a fine thread of chalky tannin and just subtle oak intervention. It's a great value-for-money wine too. Ideal in a bistro.
