Ashbrook Estate cabernet sauvignon

It's 88% cabernet, but smaller contributions come from petit verdot, cabernet franc and merlot, each of which plays an important part in the overall textural and aromatic completeness of the wine. Perfumed notes of leafy blackcurrant, a little red berry and just a trace of black olive. The palate is elegantly poised and defined, with nice red-fruit characters supported by chalky, limestoney acidity and very fine tannins. It has tremendous energy and drive, with a vibrant, buoyant palate carrying through to a very long finish.
