Amelia Park cabernet merlot 2025

This is a masterful example of what can be achieved under this banner. In this case, it's a combination of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, malbec and cabernet franc. Sure, the cabernet sauvignon takes the dominant role, but the other varieties complete the seamless palate, bringing a lift of vibrant red fruits. Lovely combination of plummy blackcurrant, a little spicy cedar and a trace of mocha-like aromatics. The palate is just so seamlessly integrated. It's medium-bodied but so flavoursome. It's bright with tremendous energy and, to me, this absolutely nails the cab merlot style, certainly at this price point. Terrific wine.
