Alkoomi Family Collection shiraz 2023

The spice and lift, especially on the nose, comes from a small dab of viognier co-fermented with the shiraz. Maturation in about 20% new French oak has added depth without excess. Aromas are spicy and plummy, with a touch of licorice. The palate is loaded with supple plummy fruit, supported by fine tannins and the structure of the viognier. It has poise, generosity and a rounded finish.
