This Italian variety is ideally suited to rosé styles. When it’s made into this dry, light style of wine, the light red fruits of strawberries and wild roses show immediately. It’s a variety that naturally has good tannins, and although obviously subdued here, they sit unobtrusively in the background, giving the wine both structure and texture. It has a dry, savoury finish. A most pleasing example of rosé.
