3 Oceans The Explorers Single Vineyard chardonnay 2024

This presents as a lighter style of chardonnay, but it still carries plenty within it. The fruit was pressed directly into French oak with about 30% new and then wild fermented before maturation in oak for another nine months. It has a lightly roasted cashew, minerally, and somewhat citrus character on the nose. On the palate, flavours of vanilla pod, nectar, and tart grapefruit emerge. It's a fine, quite delicate palate.
