Swan Valley

Cabernet Sauvignon

The soft and generous palate feel of the Swan valley has its DNA all over this appealing medium bodied blend. Leafy black fruit with a spicy plum character. The palate sings the Swan Valley with its smooth seamless structure and soft plush fruit. The fine chalky tannins and light cedary oak complete an impressive young wine.

Swan Valley

Grenache

The Swan valley was one of the better regions for this cooler vintage and ideally suited to grenache. Perfumed red fruits of raspberry and rose petal on the nose with an earthy nuance. The palate is soft and warm with a smooth interaction of oak and tannin allowing the fruit to express its virtues perfectly. Lovely smooth mouth feel.

Swan Valley

Shiraz

This deeply concentrated and plush shiraz carries more weight and sweet fruit intensity than the Reserve version. Plum and blackberry fruit aromas with notes of licorice and liqueur chocolate. The palate is super ripe and intense but at the same time the supple gentle generosity of the Swan Valley takes control. A wine that will definitely benefit from cellaring.

Swan Valley

Verdelho

A delicious slightly sweet take on verdelho. Loads of tropical fruit with a splash of citrus and a squeeze of passionfruit pulp. The crisp acid ensures it never cloys, keeping the palate clean and fresh. Excellent spicy food drink.

Swan Valley

Verdelho

What a year for this Swan Valley staple. Griffiths uses just free run juice, which is reflected in this delightfully crisp and crunchy example of the variety. Perfumed stone fruit ad cumquat with an orange zest lift. The palate packs more of the nectarine and citrus characters into the frame before releasing to a sustained finish. Just so much happening...

Swan Valley

Shiraz

This captures everything that is the Swan valley. Griffiths gets the fruit from his own, now mature, vineyard, and from nearby quality shiraz growers. It has everything. Deep plummy, black fruits on the palate with a dark chocolate and lightly red fruit influenced aroma. The palate is sublime. Soft and supple but with fine chalky tannins and perfectly weighted oak...

Swan Valley

Rose

Bright and floral rose made into a dry refreshing style. Lifted rose petal and strawberry with a trace of raspberry confectionary character. Crisp fine acidity to finish. A little fruit sweetness is well balanced. Amazing that even these simple wines can improve with a little time in bottle. This one certainly has.

Swan Valley

Muscat

Glorious statement of this famous Swan valley style. Multi-layered complexity of toffee and luscious honey and raisins. There's stone fruit vanilla bean and licorice swirling through the thick unctuous palate. Has been freshened with some younger material to add some zip to the finish. Average age of the wine is 20 years with the base blend of vintages between 1974...
