This really is quite a beautiful wine made from the classic Bordeaux varieties. It's a wine that's been elevated to the top tier of Aravina, and with good reason. Massive and concentrated aromas of blackcurrant and olive tapenade, with some minerally oyster-shell complexity before a lift of floral notes. The palate is generous and powerful, with a tight core of ripe tannins and neatly integrated French oak. There's a crunchy brightness and liveliness about it, too. This really is one of the best Aravina reds yet released.
