Karriview Pinot Noir 2023

This vineyard was a great investment by Paul Nelson. It is starting to produce some really outstanding wines. This is certainly one of them. It was 20% whole bunch in fermentation and hand plunged. Had three weeks on skins and then basket pressed to a mix of new puncheons and older barriques. Has a beautiful talcy feel on the palate. The fruit is upfront and slightly darker and less dusty than is normal at Karriview. It is very much fruits of the forest. The tannins are firmish and supportive but not intrusive. It’s a powerhouse wine. Delivers with great polish.
