Lenton Brae was established by the Thomlinson family in 1982 and built a solid reputation for its first-rate range of wines. It was also one of the first to specialise in the blend of sauvignon blanc and semillon that has proved so successful in the region. It remains consistently one of the best examples of this wine in the region. It was sold to the Jackson family in 2021. Chardonnay based on vines that are nearly 40 years old is an important variety. The emphasis is on clonal inputs, both Burgundy and Gingin. Lenton Brae also produces pinot blanc, a variety that is unusual in Australia.
