Gralyn Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

This is the partner to the outstanding Reserve Shiraz, and it's captured all that you would expect from these old vines in a marvellous season. The aromas of violets, red currant, and even a little cranberry work within the darker blackcurrant and slightly cedary characters. The palate is still tightly wound with a fine core of oak and fruit held close and long through to an extended finish. It's had 18 months in oak, and it has all the structure, poise, and palate power that you would expect for a wine that's got 20 years still in the tank.
