Nebbiolo can be a mighty tricky variety to get right with its assertive tannins. Here is an example where the tannins have been controlled allowing all those savoury dark chocolate characters of this Piedmonte native to reveal themselves. Not often you can get a wine that is 11 years old but it’s worth checking out. Dark tarry fruit characters with a spicy leathery character leading into a savoury finish.
