Cherubino Pemberton sauvignon blanc 2025

I've been a bit of a fan of this wine since I first saw it a few years ago. It's made in the fumé style, which means after natural fermentation it was matured in French oak, in this case for 4 months, but at the same time it retains its fine linear freshness with a minerally citrus note on the nose and a palate.  While the oak is evident, it's very subtle, and the wine primarily displays a crunchy vibrancy with those primary fruit characters supported by a fine minerally acidity.
