This has been made into an eminently appealing, current-drinking style of wine. Plenty of those stone fruit characters, certainly on the palate, but there's a nice edge of lemon zip and some crisp acidity which provides balance with the creamy palate. There's a plushness about it, but also that fine elegance, which is symptomatic of that vintage. A neatly crafted wine.
