No question, for me, this is the best Hazels Vineyard cabernet sauvignon produced to date. The 2020 vintage was short and sharp, delivering fruit of great intensity and power. This wine captures all of that but, with the southern regional influence, presents it with elegance and refined charm. It has all the typical blackcurrant, slightly oyster shell southern Margs character, and fine minerality. The palate is super concentrated yet so well focused and controlled that it extends to a very, very long finish. A classy expression of Margaret River cabernet.
