A beautiful testament to old-vine Frankland fruit. In fact, these vines are now more than 50 years old, and their value cannot be overstated, especially in warmer years, where, despite the heat, they can bring fruit of tremendous generosity and softness, all in perfect balance, to the table. This is loaded with dark blackberry and cherry-like characters on the nose. And then a palate which has a slightly sappy juiciness underpinning the opulent dark fruits. Oak is precisely balanced, tannins are integrated, and, all in all, an impressive wine.
